meet Jose "Pepe"

Jose was born and raised here on the Southwest side of San Antonio. Raised on the same values as his parents: God first, hard work, honesty, and respect. Jose has always strived to dedicate his life on achieving success through others. Graduating from South San High School in 2007 as a young parent, he knows the struggles many parents face when trying to achieve a goal while raising a family.  Jose remained committed to better himself and his family so he pursued his education by attending Palo Alto College to obtain his Associates degree then transferred to the University of Incarnate Word where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration - Project Management. Jose is a small business owner that focuses on providing state infrastructure material and has done so for the last 13 years. As a leader he knows the importance on completing projects on time, every time, as contractors & customers rely on his success. Jose plans on taking the same initiative to District 4 as he knows the important tasks we face.  Jose and his wife are former foster parents who focused on giving back to his community. Jose understands that our children of our communities are the future of this country. Jose remains focused on achieving civic duty on a larger spectrum by running for District 4 and truly believes people can continue to achieve the American dream right here in District 4. 

Public Safety:

• Jose knows everyone deserves to feel safe in their communities and that is why he will focus on bringing together law enforcement leaders to achieve safety through active community engagement. 
• Assigning more patrols in the high crime areas to prevent a crime from happening rather than arriving to a crime scene.  
• Reaching the youth at schools before they make the wrong choice by connecting them to both employment and college opportunities through city programs before graduating high school. 

Community Outreach:

• Engaging with our community members is essential in making their quality of lives better. 
• Jose believes listening and communicating with our community members will not only create a bridge of trust but can improve how our city government operates. 
• Progress can only be achieved if we do it together!
